We are looking for a detail-oriented Part Time Development Administrative Assistant to join our team in Newport, Rhode Island. This is a Long-term Contract position offering an opportunity to contribute to the success of fundraising initiatives and donor management processes. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth administrative operations within the advancement department.
Job Responsibility:
Draft and prepare donor acknowledgments, appeal letters, and various development-related communications
Update and maintain accurate donor records and databases to support fundraising efforts
Provide direct administrative assistance to the Director of Advancement, ensuring efficient office operations
Coordinate logistics for the Summer Art Party fundraising event, including managing RSVPs, seating arrangements, and other event details
Oversee membership processing, handle renewals, and respond to inquiries from members
Contribute to development communications and perform basic data analysis to assist in strategic decision-making
Requirements:
Proven experience in administrative support roles, preferably within development or fundraising
Proficiency in data entry and database management with attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to create and edit clear and precise correspondence
Customer service experience, with a focus on handling inquiries and building positive relationships
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
Nice to have:
Familiarity with event planning and coordination is a plus
