Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Part-time Controller to join a non-profit organization in Chicago, Illinois. This is a contract position ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in financial management and operations. Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and financial goals
  • Conduct audits to maintain compliance and improve operational efficiency
  • Manage student financial aid and scholarship programs with precision and adherence to policies
  • Develop and update department standard operating procedures (SOPs) for improved workflows
  • Utilize financial software such as Paylocity, bill.com, and Abila MIP to manage transactions and reporting
  • Perform data entry tasks to support accurate financial records
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in financial operations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools such as Paylocity, bill.com, and Abila MIP
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Experience in managing budgets, audits, and financial reporting
  • Familiarity with student financial aid and scholarship programs
  • Ability to develop and implement departmental SOPs
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in financial operations

  • Inspect and ensure that the printed bags and their components meet quality standards
  • Perform and document scheduled cleaning activities
  • Perform scheduled quality checks using an assortment of gauges and a scale
  • Learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
