This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to the financial and administrative operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting, coupled with a passion for providing excellent customer service and supporting organizational processes.
Job Responsibility:
Accurately manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely execution and proper documentation
Perform bank reconciliations and maintain updated financial records within accounting systems and Salesforce
Oversee payroll processing and manage employee documentation, including background checks and onboarding
Prepare and submit tax reports, supporting audits by organizing reconciliations and roll-forward schedules
Coordinate with insurance and benefits agents to ensure accurate administration of employee plans
Manage office operations, including supply ordering, mail handling, and tracking merchandise inventory
Provide customer service to visitors and maintain a welcoming environment for guests
Assist with tracking and filing permit and usage reports, ensuring compliance and accuracy of documentation
Collaborate with the organizational leadership and external vendors to ensure all financial activities are aligned and accurate
Requirements:
Minimum of three years of detail-oriented experience in administrative and financial management
Proficiency in bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
Familiarity with nonprofit accounting and accrual accounting principles
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with accounting and payroll systems such as QuickBooks and bill.com
Strong customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with the public
Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks
Nice to have:
Previous experience in human resources administration is a plus
