Job Description:

This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to the financial and administrative operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting, coupled with a passion for providing excellent customer service and supporting organizational processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurately manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely execution and proper documentation
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain updated financial records within accounting systems and Salesforce
  • Oversee payroll processing and manage employee documentation, including background checks and onboarding
  • Prepare and submit tax reports, supporting audits by organizing reconciliations and roll-forward schedules
  • Coordinate with insurance and benefits agents to ensure accurate administration of employee plans
  • Manage office operations, including supply ordering, mail handling, and tracking merchandise inventory
  • Provide customer service to visitors and maintain a welcoming environment for guests
  • Assist with tracking and filing permit and usage reports, ensuring compliance and accuracy of documentation
  • Collaborate with the organizational leadership and external vendors to ensure all financial activities are aligned and accurate

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of detail-oriented experience in administrative and financial management
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
  • Familiarity with nonprofit accounting and accrual accounting principles
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with accounting and payroll systems such as QuickBooks and bill.com
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with the public
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks

Nice to have:

Previous experience in human resources administration is a plus
