Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper or General Accountant to support a growing organization that provides accounting services to nonprofit clients. This role will assist with an upcoming system implementation and help transition financial processes from QuickBooks Online to Bill.com. This is a fully remote, part-time contract opportunity (approximately 20 hours per week).

Job Responsibility

  • Support the transition of financial processes from QuickBooks Online to Bill.com
  • Assist with ERP/system implementation tasks including data preparation, testing, and process documentation
  • Maintain accurate financial records for nonprofit clients
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Help ensure proper documentation and compliance with nonprofit accounting practices
  • Collaborate with the internal accounting team to ensure a smooth system transition

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper/accountant, preferably in a remote setting
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Bill.com
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a part-time schedule
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with accounting processes for non-profit organizations is a plus
  • Experience with system integrations related to accounting tools is preferred
