Job Description

A small, Charlotte-based law practice is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to support case-related administrative work and client intake. This role is ideal for someone with prior legal industry exposure who is detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and comfortable working in a largely independent environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Handle client intake calls and gather initial case information
  • Support case management processes – notes
  • Manage filing, document organization, and indexing
  • Draft basic correspondence and letters
  • Maintain and organize electronic records across multiple systems
  • Assist with document retrieval and research within internal systems
  • Provide general administrative support to the attorney as needed

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in a legal environment (law firm or similar)
  • Basic understanding of North Carolina legal processes preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience with document management systems and online platforms
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
