We are looking for a skilled PART TIME Accountant to join our team in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This position that offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in corporate accounting and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will contribute to various key accounting functions while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This is a remote role - must reside in Lehigh Valley PA and surrounding towns.
Job Responsibility:
Handle month-end closing tasks, including creating journal entries and analyzing significant accounts
Perform monthly reconciliation of assigned accounts, ensuring timely resolution of any discrepancies
Compile financial data and prepare schedules for use by management, auditors, and regulatory authorities
Support the Treasury function by managing banking transactions and reconciling bank accounts
Generate ad hoc financial reports as requested by management
Take on additional responsibilities and projects as assigned to support overall accounting operations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
1-3 years of experience in corporate accounting or auditing
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity in Microsoft Word as an advantage
Strong ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with diverse teams
Exceptional organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Adept at problem-solving and conducting detailed financial analysis
