Job Description

Our Coaching Team are passionate about developing talent at all levels, from our youngest Academy members to the first team. Our holistic coaching philosophy emphasises technical skills, tactical awareness, mental resilience, and sportsmanship. We prioritise open communication with players and their families, providing regular updates on training progress and development opportunities. Play a key role in shaping the Academy's football pathway by supporting the development of individual players, groups, and teams through tailored personal development plans. You will design, deliver, and evaluate engaging coaching sessions aligned with the Academy's philosophy and long-term development framework, with a strong focus on individual player growth. Working closely with the analysis department, you will use video review and performance insights to inform development plans, while providing clear and impactful feedback to support players' technical, tactical, and psychological progression. You will also oversee and assess trialists, contribute to recruitment decisions, maintain accurate player records on the Football Intelligence Platform, and help create a positive, development-focused environment that encourages player engagement, retention, and long-term success. Be at the heart of the Foundation Phase, driving player development and progression through close collaboration with the Academy Manager, Head of Coaching, and Cell Lead. You will monitor and support each player's journey, providing regular feedback and contributing to the academy's long-term succession planning and talent development strategy. You will help create and maintain an outstanding learning and performance environment where players can thrive both on and off the pitch, while playing an active role in academy meetings to shape and enhance coaching practices. Working alongside the Academy Senior Management Team and Multi-Disciplinary Teams, you will identify opportunities for continuous improvement, uphold high-performance standards, and lead key development processes that ensure clear progression pathways and consistent delivery of the academy's philosophy.
