Job Description

The Parks Worker I position performs routine maintenance tasks at the City's parks and sports facilities. This is accomplished by performing maintenance duties such as mowing, landscaping, irrigation, cleaning and general upkeep. This position may require participation on a rotation schedule for On-Call After-Hours support, which includes evenings, holidays, and weekends. Other duties may include completing related tasks as assigned. This position requires the ability to read and understand written instructions, to understand simple processes and the routine operation of machines used in landscaping. This position requires a valid driver's license. The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with great communication skills that thrives in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have previous professional landscape experience with knowledge of park maintenance. These skills will assist the department in achieving our operations plan and be a contributing part of a collaborative team that engages in safety and LEAN processes. Our team is currently looking for a candidate to fill one of our evening shifts with the primary tasks of general cleaning and assisting with park and sports field reservations.
