Parking Technician

• maintenance and repair of parking machines and other associated equipment
• working outside of normal core hours on a rota basis including weekends and public holidays
• assisting the Signage Technician with installation of signage including manual handling duties
• assisting cash collectors
• safekeeping and accounting of keys and money
• wearing uniform whilst on duty

• working knowledge of street furniture i.e. signs/parking machines/phone boxes or similar
• hold a G39 electric safety certificate or equivalent
• or willing to undertake training to achieve G39 certification
• experience of maintaining and repairing machinery (i.e. parking machines, fax machines or similar)
• background in mechanical/electrical engineering
• knowledge of computer programming, xml and Text files
• ability to carry out physical duties such as moving parking machines/climbing ladders/installing signage/lifting cash boxes
• ability to work from a height
• excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• proactive attitude to team working
• full driving license
