Park and Tree Superintendent

• Oversee maintenance and improvement of parks, conservation lands, recreation and water areas, open spaces, and trees
• Snow and Ice Control
• Plan, design, and maintain landscapes and public spaces to Town policies
• Recruit, train, and supervise employees maintaining parks, school grounds, recreation areas, and shade trees
• Advise boards, departments, and the public
• review development and civic improvement plans
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, permits, licenses
• Serve as Arborist
• Public Tree Removal Hearings
• Deputy Tree Warden
• Prepare and manage capital budgets

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
• Five years arboriculture/landscape management
• Certified Arborist or Certified Landscape Professional
• Five years management/project management
• two years winter operations
• Hazard tree identification
• ability to develop, draw, and present designs
• Valid Class D Massachusetts Driver’s License

• MCA/ISA Certified Arborist
• MCLP
• CPSI
• Landscape Design certificate
