Job Description:

Come join our OUTSTANDING team at Shropshire Children's Services as a Social Worker in our Parenting Assessment Team. Shropshire is expanding the Parenting Assessment Team supporting our Restorative and Relational Practice, working with parents to assess their strengths and where there may be gaps or risks identified in their parenting. You will hold a caseload of complex assessments under one of our experienced Team Managers. The team will be using the Parent Assess model.

Job Responsibility:

Hold a caseload of complex assessments
Undertake parenting assessments using the Parent Assess model
Work with parents to assess their strengths and identify gaps or risks in their parenting
Provide evidence for the Family Courts

Requirements:

Qualified children's social worker
At least 2 years' post qualifying experience
Recent experience in undertaking parenting assessments
Good understanding of parenting programmes
Great communication skills
Ability to engage with parents of diverse backgrounds
Ability to work alongside social work teams
Confidence in providing evidence for the Family Courts

Nice to have:

Experience using the Parent Assess model
