Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing support to families involved in the child welfare or probation systems of care. Acts as an advocate for the family in all aspects of the Wraparound process. The Parent Partner provides in-home services and assists families in accessing needed community resources. Interfaces professionally with DCFS, DMH, court systems, schools and other community liaisons.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization
  • Provide support to families involved in the child welfare or probation systems of care
  • Act as an advocate for the family in all aspects of the Wraparound process
  • Provide in-home services
  • Assist families in accessing needed community resources
  • Interface professionally with DCFS, DMH, court systems, schools and other community liaisons

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one-year experience in community outreach and advocacy work preferred
  • High School equivalency preferred
  • Past consumer of DMH, DCFS, Probation, Regional Center or similar services, successfully transitioned to self-sufficiency
  • Bilingual English Spanish language skills required
  • Familiarity with utilizing a PC and basic computing programs
  • A valid California driver's license, use of a car, and certificate of insurance
