Job Description:

Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established East Belfast client to recruit an experienced paraplanner to join a growing, forward-thinking advice team. The Role: This is not a traditional, back-office paraplanning position. You will play a central role in the advice process - shaping recommendations, improving report quality, and working closely with advisers to deliver clear, compliant, and client-focused outcomes. This is a hands-on role with real ownership and influence. While AI tools are used to support drafting and efficiency, your expertise, judgement, and attention to detail will define the final output. This role sits at the heart of advice delivery, not at the end of it.

Job Responsibility:

  • Take full ownership of the structure, clarity, and quality of suitability reports
  • Review and challenge adviser recommendations to ensure they are suitable, consistent, and clearly articulated
  • Use AI tools to support drafting, summarisation, and quality checks - refining outputs to a high professional standard
  • Conduct detailed product research across pensions and investment solutions
  • Act as a key point of contact between advisers and administration teams
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve the advice process

Requirements:

  • Experience working within a UK IFA / financial planning environment
  • Strong understanding of FCA suitability requirements
  • Proven ability to review, challenge, and enhance suitability reports
  • Experience across pensions and investments
  • Level 4 Diploma qualified (or close to completion)
