Job Responsibility:

Assure quality of care by following the scope of practice provided by the National EMS Scope of Practice Model and further outlined by the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services
Align role within functions set forth by CHI Saint Joseph Health
Administer BLS, PALS, ACLS and critical care interventions following the orders and supervision of the attending physician
Perform triage, assessments, interventions and patient education as needed
Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records in a timely manner
Promote patient’s independence by establishing personal rapport and care goals
teaching patients, friends and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills

Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support

Vocational School Grad Graduate from a nationally/state approved accrediting paramedic program., upon hire
1-3 years 2 years of experience as a paramedic in a high volume patient care services, approved Critical Care endorsement, previous aeromedical, or clinical ER experience., upon hire
