Job Responsibility

  • Respects patient rights and confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Advocate policies and guidelines with respect to patient confidentiality
  • Provides accurate and legible documentation of patient care
  • Provides quality patient care and education in accordance with Mobile Medicine policies and state regulations
  • Interprets data, reads monitors, and responds with correct intervention
  • Participate in Mobile Medicine Performance Improvement activities

Requirements

  • North Carolina: NC and SC State Paramedic License (SC only required in CLT markets)
  • Georgia: GA State license
  • Illinois: TBD – currently are using RNs instead of Certified Paramedics due to state legislation
  • Wisconsin: WI State License
  • All applicants: Basic Life Support
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Paramedic Certification or Associates degree
  • 1-3 years of full-time experience either in a 911 system functioning at the paramedic level of practice or 1-3 years of full-time experience in a comprehensive emergency department
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of healthcare, EMS systems, and other regulating organizations including but not limited to local, state, and federal regulations

Nice to have

  • National Registry preferred within 1 year of hire
  • Certified Community Paramedic preferred within 1 year of hire
