Job Description:

Robert Half is looking for a skilled Construction Defect Paralegal to join our client in San Diego, California. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will play a key part in supporting attorneys with all aspects of construction defect litigation. Job Responsibility:

Assist attorneys in managing all stages of construction defect litigation, from case initiation to resolution
organize, maintain, and update case files, legal documents, and discovery materials to ensure accessibility and accuracy
review and summarize contracts, inspection reports, and other technical documentation relevant to cases
draft and respond to discovery requests, subpoenas, and document production requirements
coordinate site inspections, communicate with expert witnesses, and gather necessary evidence
prepare legal correspondence, case summaries, and other supporting documentation
oversee case calendars, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely submission of court filings
provide support during trial preparation, including managing exhibits and attending hearings or trials as required

Requirements:

Strong skills in billing functions, briefing, and claim administration
demonstrated experience in handling discovery processes and document review
ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
