We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team in Houston, Texas, supporting insurance defense and litigation efforts. Job Responsibility:
Provide comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all phases of insurance defense and litigation cases
Manage complex calendaring tasks, including scheduling and tracking court appearances and deadlines
Execute time-sensitive assignments with precision and efficiency, adapting quickly to new challenges
Utilize case management tools such as iManage, SharePoint, and Coyote to organize and maintain legal documents
Collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure smooth case handling
Conduct legal research and assist with trial preparation, including discovery and document review
Maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all documentation and scheduling
Independently handle assigned tasks while adhering to firm policies and procedures
Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel, demonstrating professionalism at all times
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, ideally in insurance defense or civil litigation settings
Proficiency in case management software, including iManage, SharePoint, and Coyote
Strong organizational skills with expertise in managing calendars and tracking case deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team while maintaining a high level of independence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with litigation processes such as discovery and trial preparation
Comfortable working fully onsite in an office environment, Monday through Friday
Attentive to details and quick to adapt to new software and procedures
Nice to have:
Spanish language proficiency is a plus but not required
