Job Description:

Robert Half's confidential law firm client in Huntsville, AL is looking for an experienced Paralegal to join their team on a contract basis. In this role, you will provide essential legal support in drafting documents, conducting research, and managing case files. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment while assisting with civil litigation and trial preparation.

Job Responsibility:

Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, notices, and subpoenas
Organize and compile medical records to support case preparation
Manage workloads effectively by prioritizing tasks and taking initiative to address project needs
Summarize depositions and discovery responses for attorneys
Conduct document searches and perform factual research to support legal proceedings
Create, index, and maintain case files organized by chronological, numerical, or subject matter order
Utilize software tools such as iManage, Outlook, Aderant, and Chrome River for document management and case tracking
Coordinate calendaring and scheduling to ensure timely completion of legal tasks
Assist with trial preparation and other litigation-related tasks

Requirements:

Proven experience in civil litigation and trial preparation
Proficiency in drafting legal documents and summarizing discovery materials
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Familiarity with software tools such as iManage, Outlook, Aderant, and Chrome River
Ability to compile and analyze medical records for legal cases
Skilled in conducting research and managing case files systematically
Knowledge of discovery processes and litigation procedures
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with attorneys and other team members
