We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to support a busy litigation practice in Providence, Rhode Island. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented candidate with a background in personal injury or medical malpractice matters who can manage detailed casework with accuracy and sound judgment. The role focuses on coordinating case materials, preparing legal documentation, and helping attorneys move matters forward efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Respond to discovery requests by gathering case information, reviewing supporting materials, and preparing organized draft responses for attorney review
Maintain and organize medical records, case files, and evidentiary documents so information is accurate, accessible, and ready for litigation needs
Prepare clear correspondence and legal communications related to case activity, document requests, and ongoing matter updates
Draft, revise, and track interrogatories, exhibits, and related litigation documents throughout the life of each case
Support day-to-day case management by monitoring deadlines, updating matter records, and keeping documentation current within case management systems
Conduct focused research to locate relevant facts, records, and supporting information for active personal injury or medical malpractice files
Assist with electronic discovery tasks, including collecting, reviewing, and organizing digital documents for production and case preparation
Requirements:
Previous paralegal experience supporting personal injury or medical malpractice litigation matters
Practical knowledge of discovery processes, including drafting and managing interrogatories and document responses
Experience organizing, reviewing, and maintaining medical records for litigation files
Proficiency with civil litigation procedures and document preparation in a legal environment
Ability to use case management software and electronic discovery tools effectively
Strong research, typing, and written communication skills with close attention to detail
Highly organized work style with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines consistently
