Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Overland Park, Kansas. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to various stages of the litigation process, from initial case development through trial and post-trial activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, legal expertise, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload effectively.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct thorough legal research to analyze laws, regulations, and legal articles relevant to cases
organize and maintain case files, including briefs, exhibits, appeals, and other legal documents
collaborate with attorneys to prepare for hearings and trials by drafting motions, contracts, agreements, and summarizing depositions and interrogatories
coordinate interviews, meetings, and depositions by reaching out to clients, witnesses, and other involved parties
assist in obtaining affidavits and formal legal documentation to support case proceedings
review trial transcriptions and monitor attorneys' schedules, deadlines, and calendars
provide administrative support to attorneys to ensure efficient case management and preparation
adapt to a dynamic workload, handling multiple cases with confidence and attention to detail

Requirements:

Proven experience in civil litigation and trial preparation
proficiency in conducting legal research and analysis
strong organizational skills with the ability to manage calendars and deadlines effectively
attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining legal records and case files
excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, witnesses, and legal professionals
ability to work under pressure and manage a high-volume caseload
familiarity with legal documentation and procedural requirements
