We are looking for a skilled and bilingual Paralegal to join a boutique law firm on a contract basis in Miami, Florida. This position focuses on real estate transactions and requires someone with extensive experience handling closing files from start to finish. The role demands collaboration within a small team to provide exceptional service to clients while maintaining compliance with accounting and underwriting standards.
Job Responsibility:
Manage real estate closing files, including contract reviews, document preparation, and disbursements
Ensure compliance with underwriting and accounting standards during the processing of closing files
Export data from real estate software into QuickBooks and handle related bookkeeping tasks
Perform accounts payable and receivable duties, billing, 1099 processing, and general bookkeeping using QuickBooks
Generate weekly reports using Excel to track and update case progress
Communicate effectively with clients in both English and Spanish, ensuring clarity and professionalism
Collaborate with team members to address client needs and maintain a cohesive workflow
Utilize case management software to organize and track legal documentation
Demonstrate strong organizational and decision-making skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Requirements:
At least five years of verified experience as a certified real estate paralegal
Proficiency in handling all aspects of real estate closings, including pre-closing and post-closing processes
Experience exporting data from real estate software into QuickBooks and performing related accounting tasks
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practical experience with Double Time, QuickBooks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
Basic knowledge of Excel for creating and updating weekly reports
A minimum of five years of experience working in a law firm environment
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills to thrive in a collaborative setting
