The Paralegal provides high-level legal administrative support and technical assistance to ensure the effective delivery of legal services. This role is responsible for conducting detailed research, preparing legal documentation, and managing complex files while maintaining professional communication with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Provide high-quality paralegal support to solicitors, including the preparation of briefs to counsel, affidavits, and court documentation
Conduct thorough legal research using online databases and libraries to summarise relevant legislation, case law, and regulations
Efficiently manage and organise physical and digital files, ensuring all deadlines, subpoenas, and court dates are tracked and met
Act as a professional liaison between legal teams, court registries, and external parties, handling inquiries with discretion and clarity
Draft routine legal correspondence and reports with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Effectively utilise legal practice management software and standard office applications to maintain data integrity and workflow
Actively contribute to a collaborative team environment and adhere to all ethical, confidentiality, and workplace health and safety obligations
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in a paralegal or legal support role, with a strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and the litigation process
Highly developed written communication and research skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear, concise documentation
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet strict legal deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy under pressure
Advanced proficiency in using legal software and digital tools, with the capacity to adapt quickly to new systems and processes
A strong commitment to professional service delivery and the ability to build effective working relationships within a multidisciplinary team
