Job Responsibility:
Document management – collating and checking documents, with preparation of files
Assisting with day to day tasks for the in-house Solicitors
Dealing with any ad hoc duties that may arise
Drafting letters and reports to the client
Research tasks and analysis of documents to provide information to the in-house Solicitors
Ensure files are kept up to date, accurate and in accordance with company procedure
Assisting with drafting of Court documents
Assisting with the preparation of Witness Statements/Precognitions
Assisting with updates to third parties
Focus on dispute resolution
Requirements:
Flexible and willing to work within a busy team environment
Be able to work accurately, with good attention to detail
Good communication skills
Confident in working independently, but also work well within a team
Highly organised
IT literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
Experience of Scottish Court proceedings essential
Experience of English Court proceedings desirable
Experience of medical malpractice/personal injury/litigation desirable
Preferably have a minimum of a degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) or a Paralegal qualification.
