Job Responsibility:
Requesting Land Registry documents and ordering property searches
Downloading search results and title documents from Land Registry
Conducting ID checks and drafting letters to clients and other solicitors
Drafting Contracts and Transfer Deeds, preparing Completion Statements, and calculating apportionments
Ordering Redemption Statements and liaising with banks to ensure timely transactions
Managing billing requests and activating building warranty policies
Completing SDLT forms, drafting and submitting Land Registry returns
Responding to basic requisitions from Land Registry and drafting necessary Notices
Updating lender portals and sending title documents to clients and lenders
Handling general administrative duties, including scanning incoming post and distributing documents electronically
Providing cover for reception when necessary
Answering phones and taking messages
Drafting meeting minutes and assisting with legal research and client contact
Requirements:
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team
Previous experience in a legal environment, particularly in property law, is advantageous but not essential
