Our client is seeking a highly motivated Paralegal to join their growing team in San Jose. This is a full-time, in-office position offering the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on a diverse range of litigation matters. The ideal Paralegal will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and play a key role in supporting case strategy from inception through trial. Job Responsibility
Support attorneys with the preparation, organization, and interpretation of legal documents
Coordinate workflow across cases in collaboration with attorneys and other paralegals
Maintain case files and compile documents for court and agency filings
Assist with eDiscovery tasks, including document review, database searches, and production coordination
Draft and assist with discovery, pleadings, and status updates
Prepare summaries of discovery responses, productions, and key documents
Assist with deposition prep, hearings, and trial materials
Participate in client meetings, case discussions, and internal team meetings
Conduct legal and factual research using both internal and external resources
Review vendor invoices and assist with cost tracking
Coordinate trial preparation and provide support during hearings or trial as needed
Communicate with court personnel and coordinate with external vendors such as court reporters and experts
Accurately track time and meet billable hour expectations
Requirements
At least 5+ year of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, ideally within litigation
Familiarity with legal research tools and document management systems
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail in document handling and file maintenance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard legal software
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Experience with e-filing platforms such as One Legal, First Legal, Odyssey, or Green Filing is a plus
Familiarity with PACER and CM/ECF is a plus
