We are looking for a highly organized Paralegal to join a family law practice serving high-net-worth clients in Atlanta, Georgia. This Contract to permanent position is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to support complex divorce and family law matters in a client-facing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, sound legal research ability, and the flexibility to assist with both casework and day-to-day office support.
Job Responsibility:
Review legal filings and supporting materials to verify citations, formatting, and overall accuracy before submission
Compile case documents into organized exhibits, hearing materials, binders, and draft-ready brief packages for attorney review
Conduct legal research using Westlaw and summarize relevant authorities for family law and litigation matters
Maintain orderly electronic and physical case files using document management tools such as NetDocuments or comparable systems
Coordinate court filings, outgoing correspondence, and mail processing while tracking deadlines and required follow-up actions
Welcome clients and visitors in the office, manage front-desk interactions, and help create a positive client experience
Provide general administrative assistance, including maintaining shared office spaces and supporting everyday operational needs
Assist with discovery preparation, trial support activities, and other litigation-related tasks as matters progress
Requirements:
Prior experience as a Paralegal or a highly capable Legal Assistant in a law firm environment
Background supporting divorce, family law, or other litigation-focused legal matters, preferably involving high-net-worth clients
Demonstrated ability to handle discovery coordination and trial preparation with close attention to detail
Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw
Experience working with document management systems, including NetDocuments or similar software
Strong written communication, file organization, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced office setting
Availability to work onsite in Atlanta, Georgia on a permanent schedule
Ability to successfully complete background screening and reference verification as part of the hiring process
