We are looking for a skilled and organized Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves providing essential support during a federal evidentiary hearing, including trial preparation and courtroom assistance. The position is project-based, offering flexible hours with potential increases during the hearing period.
Job Responsibility:
Organize and maintain trial notebooks and exhibits to ensure seamless courtroom presentation
Print, prepare, and transport legal documents required for hearings
Offer direct in-person support during federal court proceedings
Ensure all courtroom materials are properly assembled and available on time
Adhere to federal court protocols while maintaining high standards of organization
Utilize personal equipment for remote preparation tasks
Complete pre-hearing preparation tasks remotely, ensuring readiness for courtroom activities
Handle confidential materials with care and discretion throughout the project
Requirements:
Proven experience as a paralegal, with a focus on federal court or constitutional law cases
Availability to attend all scheduled court dates, including extended hours during hearings
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to stay organized under tight deadlines
Access to reliable technology for completing remote tasks efficiently
Flexibility to adapt to shifting schedules and manage ambiguity in document sources
Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality
Familiarity with trial preparation tasks such as creating trial notebooks and exhibits
