We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to support a legal team handling litigation matters in Los Angeles, California. This Contract position focuses on organizing case materials, assisting with discovery responses, and preparing records for production with accuracy and discretion. The ideal candidate brings strong document management skills, sound judgment when reviewing sensitive information, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.
Job Responsibility
Support the preparation of discovery responses by gathering, reviewing, and organizing relevant case materials for attorney use
Examine case documents and sort them into clear, usable categories to streamline review and production efforts
Analyze correspondence between clients and prior legal counsel, along with records from the underlying matter, to help identify relevant facts and timelines
Flag confidential, privileged, or otherwise protected content and assist with appropriate redaction before materials are released
Coordinate and monitor document productions through SharePoint, ensuring files are complete, accessible, and properly tracked
Maintain organized case files and production logs to help the legal team manage large volumes of litigation documents
Assist attorneys with document review tasks related to civil litigation matters, including discovery and trial preparation support
Requirements
Prior experience working as a paralegal in litigation environments with hands-on responsibility for discovery and document production
Demonstrated ability to review legal records carefully and recognize communications that may be privileged or protected
Strong organizational skills with experience managing, classifying, and tracking large sets of case-related documents
Familiarity with SharePoint for storing, sharing, and monitoring document production materials
Background in civil litigation, with experience in legal malpractice matters considered an advantage
Working knowledge of discovery processes, document review practices, and interrogatory-related support
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain accuracy under deadline-driven conditions
