Job Responsibility

  • Assist Attorney teams in managing IP matters, particularly patents including the preparation and filing of patent applications, maintaining patent portfolios, conduction research and ensure compliance with legal deadlines
  • Obtain from and filing with applicable Federal, State, and Local Courts such as the District Court and before the USPTO
  • Liaising with clients and opposing counsel
  • Organize and maintain case files, calendars, databases, and e-discovery systems
  • coordinate with vendors and trial technology teams
  • Perform complex legal and fact research and analysis
  • retrieve and review documents
  • prepare memoranda or summaries documenting research
  • Assist attorneys at trial, arbitration, mediation, or deposition (e.g., track and manage trial exhibits, coordinate with witnesses, operate courtroom presentation tools, act as liaison with court personnel, and summarize trial testimony)

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in intellectual property law
  • Proficiency in discovery processes and civil litigation
  • Proven ability to prepare for trials and manage courtroom procedures
  • Familiarity with case management software and e-discovery tools
  • Strong knowledge of intellectual property law, particularly patents
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with clients and legal professionals
