We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves supporting real estate transactional and litigation matters, requiring meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation and trial preparation, with a proven ability to manage cases effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct thorough research and analysis related to real estate transactional and litigation matters
prepare and organize legal documentation, including discovery materials, pleadings, and trial exhibits
assist attorneys with trial preparation, including assembling case files and coordinating logistics
manage case files using case management software to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
facilitate communication between clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court requirements and procedural guidelines
provide administrative support during litigation processes, including scheduling and correspondence
collaborate with attorneys to develop strategies and arguments for cases
review and summarize legal documents to support case development and decision-making.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a paralegal with a focus on civil litigation and trial preparation
proficiency in discovery processes and managing associated documentation
familiarity with case management software and its application in legal workflows
strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interactions
knowledge of real estate law and legal procedures is highly preferred
ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, or equivalent certification.
