Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting legal professionals and ensuring the seamless management of cases from discovery through trial preparation. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex civil litigation matters while utilizing advanced case management tools.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist attorneys in the discovery process, including organizing and reviewing legal documents
  • Support civil litigation efforts by conducting research and preparing case files
  • Coordinate trial preparation activities, ensuring all materials and evidence are ready for presentation
  • Manage case-related information using specialized software tools for tracking deadlines and progress
  • Draft and proofread legal documents, motions, and correspondence with a high level of accuracy
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather necessary information and maintain case updates
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is accessible and up-to-date
  • Monitor legal deadlines and notify attorneys of critical dates and requirements
  • Provide administrative support during hearings and trials
  • Collaborate with legal teams to streamline workflows and improve case management processes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a paralegal, with expertise in discovery and civil litigation
  • Strong knowledge of trial preparation procedures and legal documentation
  • Proficiency in using case management software to organize and track case activities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting legal correspondence
  • Familiarity with court procedures and legal terminology
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively
