Our company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal with 3–5 years of patent and intellectual property (IP) experience. In this role, you will work in our Sunnyvale office providing critical support to our legal team in the management of patent prosecution, trademark filings, and other IP matters.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare, review, and file patent and trademark applications and supporting documents
Assist attorneys with patent prosecution, IP portfolio management, and maintenance
Perform legal research related to patents, copyrights, and trademarks
Manage all correspondence with USPTO and other regulatory agencies
Maintain accurate IP records, deadlines, and relevant documentation
Support attorneys in IP litigation, including document preparation and evidence gathering
Communicate with inventors, clients, and external counsel as needed
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience as a Paralegal focused on patent and intellectual property matters
Strong understanding of patent prosecution and IP portfolio management
Familiarity with USPTO processes and e-filing systems
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research/database platforms
Ability to work effectively in an in-office, collaborative team environment
Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate (Preferred)
Prior experience supporting patent attorneys in a law firm or corporate legal department
