We are looking for a skilled Paralegal with expertise in entertainment law to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This contract position requires an individual with strong attention to detail and experience reviewing and redlining entertainment contracts, particularly those related to award show talent releases for actors, presenters, and on-screen appearances. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring legal compliance and providing comprehensive support to our team.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct detailed reviews and edits of entertainment contracts, including talent releases for award shows
Perform legal research on topics such as bankruptcy cases, copyright issues, contract enforceability, and corporate diligence
Organize and update internal databases with accurate summaries of case developments, contract statuses, and research findings
Prepare well-structured reports and summaries that present essential information in a clear and precise manner
Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, from initiation to execution, ensuring timely completion
Provide insightful recommendations to facilitate contract finalization and resolve project-related challenges
Enhance and maintain contract templates and workflows to improve efficiency
Monitor deadlines and prioritize tasks to regulate workflow effectively
Ensure all contracts and legal documents align with organizational requirements and situational needs
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the legal team
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Paralegal specializing in entertainment law, including talent releases and contract review
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Case Management Software
Familiarity with contract management systems and software, including Adobe Acrobat and CompuLaw
Strong skills in contract administration and commercial contract management
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with exceptional organizational skills
Excellent communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with the legal team
Knowledge of billing functions and claim administration
Reliability and consistency in attendance and workflow management
