Job Description

Works under the direction of a Project Supervisor. Performs tasks while complying with established procedures for use by attorneys in discovery and in preparation of motion, briefs, and other legal documents.

Job Responsibility

  • Works under the direction of a Project Supervisor
  • Review documents to extract selected data and information related to specific items
  • Compile relevant material from computer data banks
  • Summarize findings, highlighting notable documents for further review
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings with attorneys and management to discuss findings and scope of discovery
  • Review documents for privilege according to established guidelines and criteria

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization
  • US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location
  • Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study
  • At least one year of litigation paralegal experience required
  • trial experience very helpful
  • Automated litigation support experience valued
  • Must have basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandum
  • Must have sufficient experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw to perform basic legal research
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge and hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems
  • Basic familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources
  • Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure
  • Must be bilingual or multilingual

  • Spanish language skill
  • Knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems
