We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to assist a solo practitioner in managing residential real estate transactions. This position involves coordinating all stages of the closing process, ensuring a seamless experience for clients and stakeholders. As this is a long-term contract role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving workflows and enhancing overall efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the complete residential real estate closing process, from initial contract to final closing
Independently manage transaction files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
Draft and prepare essential closing documents and other related real estate paperwork
Utilize Qualia software to organize and maintain files effectively
Coordinate and process checks, disbursements, and payments as required
Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, and other parties involved to facilitate smooth closings
Manage scheduling and calendar tasks to keep operations running efficiently
Identify and implement improvements to existing workflows and procedures
Requirements:
Proven experience as a paralegal specializing in real estate or in a real estate closing role
Familiarity with Qualia software is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of real estate transactions and closing practices
Ability to independently handle multiple cases with minimal supervision
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
Comfortable working in a solo-practitioner environment
Tech-savvy with a willingness to adapt to new tools and processes
