We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join a respected law firm in Quincy, Massachusetts. In this role, you will support two senior attorneys across diverse legal areas, including probate, family law, estate planning, elder law, corporate matters, and tax. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on both litigation-focused and transactional cases while providing exceptional service to clients during critical life events.
Job Responsibility:
Draft a variety of legal documents for family law cases, including complaints, financial statements, discovery responses, and trial preparation materials
Prepare and file petitions and court documents for probate, guardianship, and conservatorship matters
Manage case deadlines, calendars, and court filings to ensure smooth legal proceedings
Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
Create estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care proxies
Organize trust funding documentation, asset inventories, and Medicaid-related planning materials
Assist with business entity formation, corporate governance documentation, and transactional agreements
Conduct legal research, maintain accurate case files, and provide general administrative support
Handle billing entries, client communications, and calendar management efficiently
Support attorneys throughout pretrial and trial stages to ensure seamless legal representation
Requirements:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in family law, probate, estate planning, or corporate law
Strong drafting skills and familiarity with Massachusetts court procedures
Experience filing pleadings electronically through systems such as eFileMA
Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities
High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive client matters
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
Ability to work independently while anticipating the needs of attorneys
Comfort with assisting clients during significant life transitions, including incapacity and end-of-life planning
