We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join a legal services team in Katy, Texas in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This fully remote opportunity supports a collaborative legal group that includes one attorney, two paralegals, a case manager, and an intake manager. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in personal injury and civil litigation, along with hands-on trial preparation experience. Success in this role requires sound judgment, strong organization, and confidence using legal technology and AI-enabled tools to manage casework efficiently.
Job Responsibility
Coordinate litigation support activities across personal injury matters, keeping case files accurate, current, and ready for each stage of proceedings
Draft, organize, and track discovery materials, pleadings, subpoenas, and other legal documents to support active case management
Prepare attorneys for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial by assembling exhibits, timelines, witness materials, and case summaries
Maintain deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements while ensuring all deliverables are completed in a timely and compliant manner
Work closely with the attorney, paralegal team, case manager, and intake manager to move matters forward and address case needs proactively
Use case management platforms and other legal technology tools, including AI-based resources, to improve workflow efficiency and document handling
Review records, correspondence, and evidence to identify relevant facts and support litigation strategy development
Requirements
Demonstrated experience supporting personal injury and civil litigation matters in a paralegal capacity
Practical background in trial preparation, including exhibit organization and pre-hearing or pre-trial support
Proficiency with discovery processes and preparation of litigation-related documentation
Experience using case management software to organize files, deadlines, and legal workflows
Comfort working with legal technology and AI tools in a detail-focused environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fully remote setting
Strong written communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
