We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join a boutique law firm specializing in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. This position offers a mostly remote work arrangement, with occasional onsite requirements for trials or other legal proceedings. Job Responsibility:
Provide comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all stages of insurance coverage litigation, including research, pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, and document management
Draft and review legal documents such as motions, correspondence, and pleadings, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing privilege logs, and conducting privilege reviews
Attend trials as needed, ensuring seamless support for attorneys during proceedings
Conduct legal research, summarize findings, and provide actionable insights
Manage case files, litigation calendars, and records for appellate briefings
Collaborate with attorneys and staff to maintain a collegial and efficient work environment
Ensure billable hour requirements are met, with a focus on delivering high-quality work
Communicate availability and deadlines effectively to maintain workflow
Take on occasional non-billable tasks while prioritizing billable responsibilities
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a preference for expertise in insurance coverage or bad faith litigation
Proficiency in drafting motions, preparing exhibits, and conducting legal research
Familiarity with privilege reviews, privilege logs, and appellate briefing processes
Experience in trial preparation and attendance is highly desirable
Strong organizational skills to manage case files and litigation calendars effectively
Comfortable working remotely with occasional onsite requirements
Knowledge of case management software and legal research tools
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to work
