This well established, highly respected commercial litigation firm is experiencing a lot of growth and is searching for a detail-oriented Paralegal to support litigation matters in Dallas, Texas. This role focuses on organizing case materials, preparing legal filings, coordinating case events, and assisting attorneys through every stage of the dispute process. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, clear communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Job Responsibility:
Organize and evaluate case records by reviewing materials, categorizing files, and preparing productions for litigation needs
Prepare, edit, and finalize legal documents such as pleadings, written correspondence, and discovery materials with accuracy and timeliness
Track filing and response dates across state and federal matters to help ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural rules
Assemble hearing, deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial materials, including binders and supporting exhibits for attorney use
Provide hands-on litigation support during proceedings by coordinating materials, managing logistics, and assisting the legal team as needed
Serve as a point of contact for clients, outside service providers, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel regarding case-related matters
Maintain organized witness and expert files so that testimony, records, and supporting information are readily accessible
Coordinate deposition logistics by arranging court reporting and video services and confirming scheduling details
Develop visual case presentations, including demonstratives and slide decks, for use in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial
Requirements:
At least 3 years of paralegal experience, preferably supporting litigation or complex commercial disputes
working knowledge of discovery processes, trial preparation, and legal case management systems
experience with federal and state electronic filing procedures and court deadline management
proficiency with Westlaw, Microsoft Office Suite, and PowerPoint for legal research and document preparation
ability to handle multiple active matters independently while maintaining strong attention to detail
effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with attorneys, clients, experts, and external partners
background supporting litigation matters such as commercial, defense, or other complex legal proceedings
