We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to join a legal team on a Contract basis. This opportunity is well suited for someone with litigation experience who can support medical malpractice matters through strong document preparation, case organization, and coordination with attorneys and external parties. The role calls for someone who can manage multiple priorities efficiently while contributing to case development in a fast-paced practice environment.
Job Responsibility
Prepare and organize litigation documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery materials with accuracy and timeliness
Review medical records in depth, create clear chronologies, and distill complex clinical information into useful case summaries
Support attorneys ahead of hearings and trial by assembling binders, tracking exhibits, and coordinating witness logistics
Oversee case calendars, monitor filing and court deadlines, and maintain orderly and up-to-date case files
Communicate effectively with clients, medical experts, healthcare providers, and opposing counsel regarding case-related matters
Manage expert engagement activities, including scheduling, document coordination, and deposition preparation
Conduct factual investigation and legal research to help strengthen litigation strategy and overall case preparation
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in litigation paralegal work, with a strong preference for medical malpractice matters on the plaintiff side
Solid knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to interpret healthcare records and supporting documentation
Demonstrated ability to stay highly organized and produce accurate work with close attention to detail
Experience using case management platforms such as Needles, TrialWorks, or comparable software
Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with attorneys, clients, and external contacts
Proven ability to balance multiple active cases and meet deadlines in a demanding legal environment
