Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join their team. This position provides comprehensive support to the legal department, including compliance, recordkeeping, and cross-department collaboration.
Job Responsibility:
Support municipal, state, federal, and international regulatory compliance efforts
Conduct and assist with legal research projects
Prepare and maintain corporate books and records, including minutes, resolutions, certificates, and archival research for related entities and affiliates
Assist with annual filings and compliance requirements, including tax-exempt status, charitable solicitation licenses, and other regulatory matters
Maintain legal department agreement templates, policies, and records
Assist in managing trademarks, including clearance, registrations, renewals, monitoring, and enforcement
Prepare and support the completion of periodic government reports, filings, and registrations
Organize and maintain contract files, business records, and electronically stored information
Prepare materials for board and committee meetings
Draft certain legal agreements and forms as needed
Create and manage databases to support department functions
Maintain insurance policies, renewals, certificate requests, and claims for the organization and its chapters
Assist with scheduling meetings and administrative tasks
Serve as backup for the Senior Legal Assistant and Senior Paralegal
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of full-time paralegal or related experience, in-house or at a major law firm, preferably in corporate or compliance areas
Paralegal certification or training from the American Bar Association is preferred, or equivalent experience
Experience managing corporate books and records
Interest in and enthusiasm for non-profit work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong research, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively
Ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders
Nice to have:
Paralegal certification or training from the American Bar Association is preferred, or equivalent experience
