We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team in Nashua, New Hampshire. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a family law practice by managing client interactions, drafting legal documents, and overseeing case preparation. Job Responsibility:
Conduct client interviews and gather necessary information for case preparation
Draft and review family law documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and evidence
Manage discovery processes, including document collection and review
File legal documents with courts and ensure compliance with filing deadlines
Maintain accurate case records and update client management software regularly
Coordinate communication between attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel
Research legal precedents and provide summaries to support case strategy
Monitor case progress and manage deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks
Requirements:
Proven experience as a paralegal, with a focus on family law preferred
Proficiency in case management software and legal research tools
Strong knowledge of discovery processes and civil litigation procedures
Demonstrated ability to prepare for trials and manage trial-related tasks
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with legal documentation and filing requirements
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
