We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to support complex real estate and transactional legal matters in Austin, Texas. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for a detail-oriented individual who can manage high-volume documentation, coordinate closing activities, and keep matters moving on schedule. The role will work closely with attorneys and external parties to facilitate commercial transactions, maintain organized records, and provide dependable legal support throughout each stage of the process.
Job Responsibility
Oversee the preparation, assembly, and organization of closing packages, supporting documents, and transaction tracking materials for commercial real estate matters
Coordinate with attorneys, clients, lenders, title representatives, survey professionals, and other stakeholders to move closings forward efficiently
Examine title commitments, surveys, leases, and related property records to identify issues and support transaction readiness
Provide paralegal support for commercial acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, and business entity documentation
Track critical milestones, maintain complete closing files, and follow up on outstanding items to help ensure deadlines are achieved
Conduct legal research and public records searches to support active transactional matters and attorney requests
Maintain accurate matter documentation within case management systems and organize files for efficient retrieval and review
Requirements
10+ years of paralegal experience, ideally supporting real estate or transactional legal work
Demonstrated background handling commercial purchase and sale transactions, financing matters, and closing documentation
Ability to review and interpret title materials, surveys, leases, and related legal documents with strong attention to detail
Experience coordinating with multiple internal and external parties while managing competing deadlines
Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain transaction files, checklists, and status updates accurately
Proficiency in legal research, public records review, and document management tools or case management software
Nice to have
Familiarity with litigation support concepts such as discovery, civil litigation, or trial preparation
