A well-established benefits administration office in San Francisco is seeking a Paralegal to provide temporary coverage during a maternity leave. This role supports the administration of workers’ compensation and third-party liability (subrogation) matters involving plan members. The position works closely with internal staff, attorneys, and insurance carriers to track claims, maintain case documentation, and support recovery efforts.
Job Responsibility:
Review and track workers’ compensation and third-party liability claims involving plan participants
Maintain and organize claim files, case documentation, and recovery records
Communicate with insurance carriers, attorneys, and members regarding claim status and documentation
Assist with monitoring settlements and subrogation recoveries to ensure reimbursement of benefits paid
Support preparation and processing of liens, reimbursements, and claim-related correspondence
Maintain accurate records and update internal claim tracking systems
Assist the team with additional benefits or claims administration tasks as needed
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in a paralegal or legal support role in a law firm setting
Experience with personal injury, workers’ compensation, insurance claims, or subrogation strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, insurance carriers, and internal staff
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
