Job Description

This role’s primary focus will be in regulatory and compliance. Additionally, there will be opportunities to provide support in other areas within the Managed Legal Services team as and when needed. You will support a busy team in delivering crisis focussed solutions for regulatory clients. This will entail exposure to a wide range of legal disciplines. On a day-to-day basis, your work will be varied and challenging. This is an opportunity to work as part of a large team both in the office and out on site.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing written and oral communication with third parties
  • Managing reporting obligations to include updating clients
  • Drafting documents including pleadings, training materials and client reports
  • Using persuasive language to negotiate preferable outcomes for clients
  • Proofreading to ensure consistency across documents
  • Analysing documents and summarising key legal principles
  • Reviewing and analysing legal entitlement to documentation
  • Applying key legal principles to an agreed course of action

Requirements

  • a minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role
  • previous experience in a regulatory and compliance role
  • previous experience using a case management system
  • strong IT skills and accurate typing ability
  • ability to manage and meet deadlines
  • a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • a high degree of flexibility and initiative along with excellent organisational and prioritising skills
  • the ability to manage multiple stakeholders at all levels
  • enthusiasm, drive and commitment and to be a strong team player

Nice to have

  • previous experience in a complaints management role or responding to the legal ombudsman
  • strong business and commercial acumen
