Job Description:

Our client is seeking a permanent full-time paralegal to join their employment law litigation law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves handling a diverse range of cases including workplace harassment, unpaid overtime, civil rights, denial of medical leave, executive compensation, and fraudulent business practices.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the litigation process for employment law cases, including those related to workplace harassment and unpaid overtime
  • Support the legal team in cases involving civil rights violations and denial of medical leave
  • Provide paralegal support for cases related to executive compensation and fraudulent business practices
  • Handle cases related to employment discrimination, including those based on race, color, and national origin
  • Conduct legal research and prepare for arbitration, mediation, and trials
  • Assist with senior-level compensation package negotiation and breach of contract cases
  • Support whistleblowers' claims and handle cases related to the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA)
  • Assist with the litigation process for workers' compensation claims
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for all cases
  • Respond to and resolve client inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of related working experience
  • Proficiency in Employment Litigation is required
  • Experience in Plaintiff Litigation is highly desirable
  • Previous experience as a Litigation Paralegal is essential
  • Demonstrated proficiency in providing Litigation Support
  • Thorough knowledge of Employment Law is necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or related field is preferred
