Job Description:

To assist our Legal team, we are primarily searching for someone who is passionate about the law and who would help us with a wide range of legal relations matters. We offer this position as a part-time role (20 hours/week on average) based on the Agreement on work activity (DPČ).

Job Responsibility:

  • Filing legal documents into a repository and categorizing documents
  • Final check of contracts
  • Taking care of signing and distributing the signed documents to the individual internal stakeholders
  • Legal research
  • Monitoring of new legislation applicable to Emplifi
  • Review and drafting of simple contracts and other legal documents
  • Helping with other legal tasks, depending on seniority

Requirements:

  • University Law student
  • Interest in data privacy and IT/IP law is a big advantage
  • Previous work experience at a similar role is a plus, but not a must
  • Fluent English (daily communication) and a native-like level of Czech/Slovak language is a must
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Reliability, independence, and detail orientation
  • Motivation to look for new improvements
  • Proactivity, self-motivation

Nice to have:

  • Interest in data privacy and IT/IP law
  • Previous work experience at a similar role

  • responsible for the underlying day-to-day aspects of the case through the implementation of procedures for maintaining materials/documents received from clients, and indexing these materials or organising for their upload to the database

  • Document review: work with trainee lawyers and interns to conduct first level reviews
  • Filings: assist with the written work of associates during the submission phases, ensuring styles are applied consistently across documents, conducting cite-checking and proofreading, and managing the collection and organisation of supporting documentation (including their indexing)
  • Hearings: lead the logistical planning of the hearing (which typically involves negotiating contracts with transcribers
  • interpreters and hearing venues)
  • work closely with other fee-earners on opening/closing presentations including being responsible for PowerPoint presentations
