Robert Half is partnering with a well-established boutique law firm in the Lynnwood area to identify a highly experienced Senior Paralegal with a strong background in Estate Planning and Guardianship matters. This role will work directly with attorneys and play a critical part in managing complex estate planning and guardianship matters from intake through closing.
Job Responsibility
Draft, revise, and finalize estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, and beneficiary designations
Prepare and file guardianship and probate pleadings, including petitions, inventories, accountings, and court reports in accordance with Washington State court requirements
Coordinate and manage court filings (e-filing and physical filing), calendaring deadlines, and ensuring compliance with local rules and procedures
Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates, gathering information, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Assist attorneys with guardian/conservator reporting obligations, including annual filings and compliance tracking
Manage case files from inception through closing, including document organization, intake, and file maintenance
Communicate with courts, financial institutions, medical providers, and third parties to support case progression
Track critical deadlines and proactively manage attorney calendars related to hearings, filings, and client deliverables
Support attorneys with trust funding and asset transfer processes, including preparation of deeds and beneficiary forms
Maintain accuracy in document preparation and ensure all materials meet firm and regulatory standards
Requirements
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Paralegal supporting Estate Planning and/or Guardianship/Probate practices
Strong working knowledge of Washington State court procedures, including guardianship filings and probate processes
Proven experience drafting estate planning documents with minimal supervision
Familiarity with e-filing systems, court rules, and compliance requirements
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
