Job Description

We are looking for Paralegal to join our specialist insurance litigation teams at CSG. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your legal skills, knowledge and career in across our Triage, Motor Recoveries and Property Recoveries teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Screen matters for prospects and liaise with clients upon receipt of instructions
  • Review instructions and provide client advice on case prospects
  • Be responsible for a varied caseload of pre-litigated and litigated work
  • Assess liability and quantum and develop an appropriate strategy for the case
  • Resolve claims through negotiation and litigation within client service standards
  • Instruct experts and counsel, draft Witness Statements and other Court documents
  • Maintain contact with our clients and their Customers whilst proactively managing their expectations

Requirements

  • Prioritisation and Organisation Skills - the ability to structure your time well, prioritise work effectively and recognise when to ask for help
  • Interpersonal skills - communication skills to liaise with clients, intermediaries and colleagues on the phone and in person
  • Analytical skills - The ability to critically look at factual evidence, identify key legal arguments and apply the same
  • Commercial sense - The ability to know the principle or law but also know when is it worth pursuing it
  • Resilience - The ability to stand their ground in a telephone negotiation and to receive feedback
  • Commitment and enthusiasm - with a professional attitude
