Job Description

We are recruiting fixed term paralegals for a large disclosure exercise, initially for six months, with the possibility of an extension.

Job Responsibility

  • Reviewing documents on an e-Disclosure platform
  • Attending some meetings and note taking
  • Assisting with the ordering and scheduling of files
  • General administration tasks to include photocopying, scanning and faxing
  • Handling confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols
  • Coordinating clear document management including preparing and maintaining records, assisting with the ordering and scheduling of files
  • Reviewing documents and preparing electronic and hard copy bundles of documents for counsel/experts/factual witnesses

Requirements

  • Must be available to start full time work ASAP
  • A 2:1 degree in Law and/or practical or academic experience of litigation
  • Previous experience as a paralegal or legal executive is desirable
  • Experience of carrying out electronic disclosure exercises in particular working knowledge of document management databases
  • Knowledge of MS Office in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Attention to detail and an extremely high quality of work product is essential
  • An ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritising workload
  • Enthusiastic and approachable with a committed and flexible attitude to work
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.

Nice to have

Previous experience as a paralegal or legal executive is desirable
